Phone home with E.T. on the big screen. Movies in the Park, an outdoor movie series staged in New Bedford’s Buttonwood Park, will present E.T. on Fri., 7/20 (rain date 7/27), east of the Buttonwood Park playground. This screening is made possible thanks to the sponsorship Friends of Buttonwood Park and Metro PCS. The event is free and open to the public.
The movie begins at sunset (approximately 7:30 p.m.); attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for seating.
The City of New Bedford’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Beaches has provided access to the park for this event. Equipment is provided by the United Way of Greater New Bedford.
The mission of Movies in the Park is to promote New Bedford’s civic vitality and encourage the use and enjoyment of Buttonwood Park by city residents and visitors alike during the summer of 2018 and beyond.
