Fairhaven is a community that welcomes and celebrates everyone. Hanukkah and Kwanzaa both take place in December, bringing light, unity and joy to the holiday season. These celebrations remind us of the diverse holiday traditions honored during this special time of the year.
Anyone who wishes to display a symbol of Hanukkah or Kwanzaa in their window can pick one up for free in the Walnut Street Lobby of the Millicent Library, where there is a basket of free symbols.
These have been donated by Fairhaven for All. The mission of Fairhaven for All is to foster a culture of welcome inclusivity, and acceptance for all in Fairhaven while enabling residents to grow, understand and value the power of diversity in communities, civics, business and education.
