The Acushnet Public Library is pleased to announce the return of their outdoor Summer Concert Series. Concerts will be held under the pavilion located at 232 Middle RD in Acushnet on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm from June 14 through August 2 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The 2023 lineup is as follows:
July 5 Dave Alves Band
July 12 Matt York Longtime New England musician/author Matt York will perform the songs of Johnny Cash and tell stories about Cash’s career spanning from the 1950’s to his passing in 2003. He’ll discuss Cash’s emergence as a groundbreaking artist in the 1950’s, his marriage to June Carter and many of his other career highlights.
July 19 Roots Run Wild Full of musical surprises, Roots Run Wild strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and ferocity with their blend of unique instrumentation, robust styling, and powerful vocals. RRW entertains and delights with intricate harmonies and a focus on spreading good vibes, embracing roots and folk music from the mountains to the islands, frequently sneaking into pop territory with their catchy melodies and hooks.
