Salad Days: A Pop-Up Art Exhibition in the Historic Greenhouses of Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens, 787 Shawmut Ave., NB.
Salad Days is a pop-up art exhibition set in the historic greenhouses of Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens in New Bedford, MA—a hidden gem shaped by the late Allen Haskell, known as “a nurseryman with an artist’s eye.” Sponsored in part by the Mass Cultural Council, New Bedford Cultural Council and The Trustees of Reservations, this exhibition marks the final chapter of the greenhouses’ current life before their eventual historic restoration. The installation reimagines the greenhouses as vessels for dreaming—a contemplative nursery for a more hopeful future.
The opening reception takes place on Fri., 9/19, from 5–8 PM, featuring several activations. The exhibition continues through October 12th, open daily from dawn to sunset.
