Inviting town residents and friends from across SouthCoast to enjoy its historic town center, Fairhaven is hosting its first-ever Food Truck Flavor Fest on Friday September 20th, from 5-8 p.m., in front of Town Hall, 40 Center Street.
The event will feature food trucks, a beer garden, and live music from the Shepherd Center for the Performing Arts.
“We hope folks from across Fairhaven and around SouthCoast join us for a family-friendly night of food, fun, and music,” said Will Gardner, Chair of the Fairhaven Livable Streets Committee. “Our town center was built as a community gathering point for people to see their neighbors and reconnect with old friends, and between the Flavor Fest, the Homecoming Day Fair, the Concerts Under the Stars, and the Old-Time Holiday, it’s more vibrant than ever.”
The Flavor Fest will be capped off with an outdoor movie under the stars, featuring a special screening of The History of the Castle on the Hill, a documentary about Fairhaven High School.
With parking limited, visitors are encouraged to bike or carpool to the event. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcomed.
Vendors include: Adobo Republic, Cobbs Southern BBQ, Da Caribbean Flavors, Donut NV, Dorothy Cox’s Chocolates, Dudes N’ Foods, Kona Ice, Newport Chowder Co, Pizza Diavolo, Sorbae Frozen Treats, The Filling Station, The Pionono #1 Puerto Rican Food Truck, Uncle Joey’s Cannoli, West Island Oysters.
