Fire department splashes fun and safety

August 31, 2022 by Staff Writer

Approximately 150 people showed up for some fire department fun, treats, and safety talk at the Millicent Library on Wednesday, 8/24/22.

Members of the Fairhaven Fire Department talked to children and their adults about fire safety, and let some feel the power of the fire hose, aiming it at a stop sign.

The library also provided ice cream sandwiches to help the kids cool off on a hot summer day. Fire hats, pencils and key chains were among the treats offered to children.
