The Fairhaven Fire Department and Millicent Library brought some cool fun to the center of town on Thursday, 7/20. Part of the summer reading program, the annual hose down includes a safety demonstration by firefighters, an appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog, and a chance for the children to handle the big fire hose, on the lawn of the Unitarian Memorial Church, right across the street from the library. The water was a welcome respite from the July heat.
