On May 21, 2026, the Fairhaven Fire Department received a dispatch from Holbrook Regional Communications for a commercial fire alarm activation at 142 Huttleston Ave., Palace Pizza.
Engine 4 and Ladder 1 responded to the alarm. Upon arrival, crews encountered smoke coming from the structure and requested an additional tone to bring our second due engine to the scene and recall off-duty personnel.
Chief Correia requested a working fire assignment to bring in mutual aid companies to the scene from New Bedford Fire and Mattapoisett Fire. Acushnet Fire responded to cover the station. The fire was extinguished within approximately fifteen minutes of the initial fire attack. The cause is under investigation at this time and is not considered suspicious.
The building inspector and electrical inspector were also requested to the scene. No injuries were reported. Thank you to our mutual aid partners.
