FHS students win three student Emmys

On April 4, 2018, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the recipients of the 2018 New England Regional High School Production Awards (informally known as student Emmy Awards.) 

Students were honored for excel­lence in broadcast journalism, sports broadcasting, and video produc­tion. Members of Fairhaven High School’s Media Production Program were awarded three prestigious New England Student Awards and recognized with an additional eight honorable mentions.

Fairhaven High School was one of the top schools recognized in the New England region. Pinkerton Academy (Pinkerton, NH) also received three awards.

Since 2013, Fairhaven High School has received 18 New England Regional Student Production Awards and two National Student Production Awards. The school will receive a crystal pillar bearing the Emmy Logo, and a ceremony will be held at a future date.

These students now represent New England in a National Student Produc­tion Award event, taking place next October.

NATAS awarded 24 awards in 23 different categories, and over 300 entries were submitted. Fairhaven’s winners as follows.
