On Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, 11/23, the Fairhaven Blue Devils and supporters gathered at Cushman Park for the annual bonfire sponsored by the Fairhaven Gridiron Club.
Popcorn, hot chocolate, a DJ and the Fairhaven High School band added to the festive atmosphere.
Kevin Cadieux of the Gridiron Club, said the event could not happen without the help of the Department of Public Works, Emergency Management Agency, the Fire Department, Police Department and all the volunteers.
“The Gridiron Club is very thankful to all the public employees,” said Mr. Cadieux. “We do appreciate it.”
The FHS football team met the Dartmouth Indians on Thanksgiving Day. The Indians beat out the Blue Devils 43-0. The Fairhaven gridders gave it their best, but were simply outmatched.
