Water, Whaleboats, and Winners: A Festa by the Sea, a free waterfront celebration held in partnership with the Community Boating Center and the Azorean Maritime Heritage Society.

The event will feature the official crowning of this year’s “Nata Champions”, a high-energy pasteis da nata eating competition, and family-friendly waterfront activities. Attendees can get on the water by sailing with the Community Boating Center or rowing authentic Azorean whaleboats with the Azorean Maritime Heritage Society, along with paddleboarding, kayaking, food trucks, and activities for kids.

11:00AM – Open Rows for the Public Begin!

12:00PM – Pastel De Nata Eating Competition

12:15PM – Winner of the South Coast Snackdown is Crowned!

12:30PM- Open Rows Continue

Our flagship, BELA VISTA, will be on display & we will have kids activities under the tent including an Azorean Whaleboat Racing game, a coloring station where kids can design their own whaleboat, and a “pin a tracker on a whale” game where they can learn about the marine life that we encounter.

CBC will also host opportunities to get out on their sonars to sail or their kayaks & paddleboards. Local food trucks will also be on site!

It’s sure to be a good time for all!
