The community is invited to celebrate Mardi Gras at the 2nd annual “Fat Tuesday” Party! The event offers live New Orleans music performed all night by the SouthCoast Brass Band, a traditional Jambalaya buffet, themed “Hurricane” drinks, Mardi Gras masks and beads, dancing and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit the New Bedford Boys & Girls Club. These funds help support the club’s youth programming, and help sustain their ability to continue to serve the community for years to come.
The event will take place on Tues., 3/5, from 6–9 p.m. at Greasy Luck Brewpub, 791 Purchase Street, New Bedford, MA 02740. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased at www.greasyluckbrewpub.com> Concert Tickets. You may also reserve them by email: wcrowley@bgcnewbedford.org.
The Boys & Girls Club is a critical organization within the community, serving children and young adults from New Bedford and surrounding towns. The club assists youth from all socio-economic backgrounds, and helps participants develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship. Each year, the club serves 1,200-1,500 members, with an additional 2,500 non-members served through various events and programs. This event will help support these programs.
