Bob McConnell has announced that he will be running for State Committeeman from the Second Bristol & Plymouth State Senate District in the upcoming Presidential Primary on March 5, 2024. The role serves New Bedford, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Acushnet, and Mattapoisett.
“I am proud and excited to announce my candidacy for the Republican State Committee,” said McConnell. “It is my goal to be an asset to the Massachusetts Republican Party and increase civic awareness and community engagement in our area.”
With almost 40 years working in law enforcement, and four decades as a licensed nurse, Bob has demonstrated his commitment and passion in service to others. An elected Fairhaven Town Meeting member since 2018, Bob also recently ran for the 10th Bristol District State Representative seat.
Bob McConnell was elected Chair of the Fairhaven Republican Town Committee (RTC) in October of 2021. As Chair of the Fairhaven RTC, Bob demonstrated leadership, commitment, and involvement by growing membership, raising money to support candidates, and gathering signatures for state initiatives. Bob served as a delegate to the Massachusetts Republican State Convention in 2022.
“We face many critical challenges in our state and country. We need to make our voices heard. I look forward to supporting conservative candidates and working with grassroots local activists to build and grow their Town Committees.” said McConnell.
