Fairhaven will hold its annual auction this Saturday, 9/16, at 9 a.m. at the Board of Public Works garage, 5 Arsene Street. Items for sale come from surplus property by various town departments, including office equipment and vehicles; a variety of items confiscated or recovered by police, abandoned property, etc.
From the School Department: Film Texts, Time Life Books, Paperbacks (fiction and non fiction), Paperbacks, Encyclopedias, Anthologies, Hardcovers/nonfiction, Hardcovers/fiction, 55 Lenovo desktops (2006-2010) 7 Dell desktops (2007), 11 Hp desktops (2009), 38 flat screen monitors, 10 inkjet printers, 4 tightrope media servers, 3 6″ video monitors, 8 laptops (2006), 4 VCR/DVD combo units, 4 32″ tube tvs, 1 Samsung 55″ tv (damaged), 53 keyboards, Command center, 1 VCR, 1 Print Server, 25 tape recorders, 25 9″ TVs, 1 fax machine, 1 CRT monitor, 1 tube tv/vcr combo.
From the Recreation Center: 2 sets of 12 lockers each, total dimensions for units are 6’ 6” in height, 6 feet in width, 15’ in depth
From Town Hall: 7 filing cabinets, assorted pictures, 3 tables, 3 chairs, File rack, Christmas tree, Waste basket, 8′ table, 8′ bench, 6 drawer storage bin
From the Council on Aging: 6 foot conference room table, Small wooden white desk, 8×10 rug, 5 feet octagonal table, 3 chairs, 4 foot Christmas trees, Overhead projector, Ironing board
From the Fire Department: Ice Rescue Sled (1970’s), Hale Floating Pump, Hurst Hydraulic Power Unit, 1 50-ft length of hydraulic hose, 1 gas/ leave blower
From the Highway Department: Camper trailer, abandoned (only police can get title, 14 bicycles, one Honda XR80 minibike, one Snapper 200 GX ridiing mower, Two Craftsmen push mowers, one transmission jack, one Sun vehicle diagnostic machine, metal table saw, one bed liner, one Huskey generator (does not run), two cut of saws (not working), SEFAC 6-ton vehicle lift posts, one couch, old #43 Sewer Department 2000 Ford utility truck, Council on Aging Ford Taurus, School Department box truck (looking for title).
