Fairhaven Protecting Society is looking for new members. There will be an organizational meeting on Mon. 1/15, at 6:30 p.m., at the Fairhaven Fire Department meetting room. The Protecting Society was orignally created in the mid-1800s to assist the fire department with preserving property at fire scenes. Today the role of the Protecting Society will be to preserve and protect the historic artifacts and apparatus of the town’s fire service.
