In the coldest Thanksgiving on record, coming in at 16 degrees in the morning, the Fairhaven Blue Devils faced off against the Dartmouth Indians at Dartmouth, on 11/22/18. The Blue Devils put up a good fight, but ultimately lost in a nail-biter that went to the last minutes, 14-13. The day was cold enough that the bands did not take to the field because it was too cold for the instruments. The cheerleaders, however, did not disappoint, and continued to lead the crowds in cheers for the teams.

Gridiron bonfire warms everyone up before the game
The Fairhaven Gridiron Club held its annual bonfire on Wednesday, 11/21/18 at Cushman Park to get everyone warmed up for the traditional Thanksgiving Day face-off between Fairhaven and Dartmouth. The frigid cold did not stop hundreds of fans from coming out to support the team. The Fairhaven Fire Department and volunteer call firefighters handled the blaze. The crowd broke up as the fire diminished and a mix of rain and snow started to fall around 6:40 p.m.
