This scholarship is awarded by the Fairhaven Historical Society and honors Enrique Goytizolo’s dedication to preserving the history of the Town of Fairhaven and his vital and long-time leadership role with the Fairhaven Historical Society.
The annual Enrique Goytizolo Scholarship is a $1000 award for a graduating Fairhaven-resident high school senior. A minimum of three hours of volunteer time at the Fairhaven Historical Society Museum or Fairhaven Historical Society events/activities within one year of scholarship award notification is required of each annual scholarship recipient.
The Fairhaven Historical Society is excited to announce that this year’s recipient of the Enrique Goytizolo Scholarship is Olivia Quintin.
Olivia is a graduating senior at Fairhaven High School and will be attending Bridgewater State in the fall of 2022 with a focus on Biology.
Olivia’s essay focused on her growing up in Fairhaven and attending Rogers School and how her experiences in Fairhaven have helped shape her deep interest in the sciences.
As a recommendation from one of her teachers expresses: “She will stand out among the newly matriculated students as an intellectually curious learner who is invested in the experience and in contributing to what is known about her field of study.”
Congratulations to Olivia!
