The Fairhaven Fire Department recently took delivery of a brand new 2017 Horton Emergency Ambulance.The new ambulance will replace a 2002 Ambulance that has been retired and taken out of service. Fairhaven currently runs three Advanced Life Support Ambulances staffed with Paramedic & EMT/Firefighters. The new ambulance was purchased by the town at a cost of $259,000 from Greenwood Motors in Attleboro, Mass. Some of its features are: four wheel drive, hydraulic-assisted patient loading system, as well as a host of state-of-the-art medical equipment. Once in service it will be the primary ambulance to respond to all EMS calls in the town. Fairhaven answers over 3,000 emergency medical services calls per year.
