The Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division District 5 will temporarily close Exit 15 on I-195 and a section of Route 18 in New Bedford for two nights beginning at 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Exit 15 on I-195 and Route 18 Southbound, between Coggeshall Street and Union Street, will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night on June 13 and June 14, to allow for bridge deck repairs on the Exit 15 ramps and removal and reapplication of pavement markings on Route 18. One lane of travel will be open on Route 18 Northbound.
The section of Route 18 impacted by construction activities is scheduled to reopen to traffic at 5:00 a.m., on June 14 and June 15.
A temporary detour will be in place each night for all motor vehicle traffic.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted should any sort of emergency situation occur.
