Epiphany at St. Joseph School

January 11, 2024 by Staff Writer

The students of St. Joseph’s School in Fairhaven celebrated the Epiphany (the visit of the three kings, called Magi) with a La Befana skit. Several students took the parts of La Befana, the three kings, the farmer, the shepherd and the star. Following the skit, the teachers were given gifts of “gold,” “frankincense,” and “myrrh” and Fr. Stephen, our pastor, went to each classroom to bless it for the new year.

The Feast of Epiphany is celebrated by Christians on January 6, 12 days after the birth of Jesus.s
