Encampment shows life in 1770s

June 11, 2025 by Staff Writer

Although the rain caused the Fairhaven Village Militia to cancel the firing of the big cannons on Saturday, it did not stop the rest of the activities. The Militia held it Revolutionary War encampment at Fort Phoenix on Saturday and Sunday, 6/7/25 & 6/8/25. The weekend included demonstrations of musket fire, tinsmithing, cooking, and other activities from the 1770s.
