Fairhaven Village Militia, Revolutionary War Encampment, Sat., 10/22, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Fort Phoenix, Fort Street, Fairhaven, MA
The Fairhaven Village Militia and the Wareham Minutemen and Militia Companies present a one-day historical encampment at Fort Phoenix. Talk to period costumed men and women about the fort’s history and life in the 1770s. See military drilling and flintlock musket demonstrations, along with 1770s activities such as camp cooking, sewing demonstrations, and more. Children can try 18th century games and toys.

Time to start cleaning out those sheds and basements to be ready for Fairhaven’s Hazardous Waste Day, scheduled for Saturday, 10/22, from 8 a.m. to noon at the public works building, 5 Arsene Street.
