The Acushnet Lions Club will sponsor its annual Duck Race on Sun., 6/18, at the Acushnet Sawmill, 32 Mill Road, Acushnet, and down the Acushnet River at 11–11:30 a.m. Proceeds from the race go to Mass. Lions Eye Research, Scholarships and other Lions Club charities.
Tickets to adopt your duck are $10 each. See any Acushnet Lions Club member or call Joe Costa, 508-971-1859. First place, $1000; 2nd place, $500; 3rd place, $200.
