New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center (FHC) and New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park are pleased to announce three upcoming free film screenings as part of the Dock-u-mentary series. Screened at the National Park auditorium at 33 William Street in downtown New Bedford, Dock-u-mentaries is a free film series hosted on every third Friday at 7:00pm from October through April. The films explore a variety of themes and topics related to the commercial fishing industry as well as the history and traditions of the maritime world.
On February 21, FHC will be screening the film Life by Lobster. Set against the stunning backdrop of coastal Maine, Life by Lobster takes you inside the lives of five young lobstermen who have put everything on the line to pursue the Downeast dream, to own a business, raise a family, and stay true to a proud way of life. On March 21, FHC will be screening the 2019 film Seadrift. On April 18, FHC will be screening A Watershed Moment.
