Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker relaxed guidelines for masks outdoors, and announced more reopenings of businesses.
As of Friday, 4/30, masks will only be required outdoors in large gatherings or when social distancing is not possible. Wearing face coverings indoors is still required.
The governor also announced that the state will move to the next phase of the reopening plan, Phase 4, Step 2.
On May 10, large venues that are now open at 12%, will be able to open at 25% capacity. Amusement parks, theme parks, water parks will also be able to open at 50% capacity. Road races can resume, but with staggered starts. Singing indoors can resume, but with distancing requirements.
On August 1, all restrictions will be lifted for some industries. Restaurants will no longer have to serve food in order to serve alcohol, but other restrictions will remain.
