On behalf of the National Night Out group, I would like to extend our thanks to everyone who came out and made our first annual National Night Out a wonderful success. It was an uplifting show of support for our Police Department, who work so hard every day to keep us safe.
Thank you to all the members of the Police Department for showing us all that they know how to throw an awesome event. Whether they were handing out hot dogs or sitting in a dunk tank, they were the life of the party! Thank you to all the Town departments who showed their support — a special thanks to the Fire Department for lending their help and equipment, to the BPW for providing trash disposal, and to the School Department for hosting the location and lending their staff for assistance. Thank you to the Massachusetts State Police for arranging a helicopter landing on the football field and to the Taunton Police Department for the K9 demonstration. Thanks also to Bob Foster for providing tours of the High School alongside the event.
This event was made free because the following individuals/groups/ companies were so incredibly generous with their time and resources: KJ Tunes, DeTerra Bubble Bounce, the Fairhaven Lions Club, Mike and Wayne’s Uniforms and Accessories, Papa Gino’s, Sweet Ginger, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Yia Yia’s, Honey Dew, Howland Road Dunkin Donuts, Subway, 99 Restaurant, Bai Drinks, Ocean Spray, Dorothy Cox’s Chocolates, Rocky’s Hardware, Riccardi’s, Allen Days, Harbor Blue Seafood, and the Nook.
Finally, thank you to all the volunteers who came out in droves to support their members of law enforcement.
We look forward to our second National Night Out on August 7, 2018. See you then!
Sincerely, Fairhaven National Night Out Committee: Sgt. Kevin Kobza,
Sgt. Kevin Swain, Sgt. Dan Dorgan, Det. Janis Bubluski, Officer Marcy Haaland, Officer Scott Joseph, Anne O’Brien, Phil Washko, Patricia Pacella
