South Coast Progressive Voices Offers Session Charting Ways to Be Civically Involved. On Tuesday, June 8 at 7:00 pm, South Coast Progressive Voices (SCPV) will host “Building Power Together: Take Action to Reclaim Our Civic Society,” a presentation outlining specific ways South Coast residents are working for social justice and how others can get involved.
Led by Elizabeth Murphy, community organizer for the New Bedford Immigration Support Network, the meeting will feature brief snapshots of a variety of social and economic justice endeavors with a focus both local and wider; specific ways to become involved; and time for discussion and questions.
