Christopher Beauregard is newest Fairhaven Police Officer

March 7, 2019 by Staff Writer

Press Release

The Fairhaven Police Department is proud to announce the graduation of Officer Christopher Beauregard from the Plymouth Police Academy.  Officer Beauregard just completed an intensive 24-week recruit training program at the police academy that consisted of physical fitness training, defensive tactics training, driver training, firearms training, practical exercises and classroom lectures in constitutional law, criminal law, motor vehicle law, and other fields of study.

Officer Beauregard is a lifelong resident of the Town of Fairhaven, and a 2007 graduate of Fairhaven High School. He graduated in 2011 from Bristol Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Beauregard enlisted fulltime, active duty in the United States Army in 2013, and completed basic training and military police training at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. He was then stationed at Fort Drum, New York, attached to the 543 Military Police Company.

Officer Beauregard completed a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan, where he conducted customs service duties as a military police officer. He returned to Fort Drum, where he remained until being deployed to South Korea. Officer Beauregard completed a one-year deployment in South Korea working for the Criminal Investigations Division.

Upon returning home from South Korea, Officer Beauregard was hired by the Fairhaven Police Department in the fall. He entered the police academy on September 10, 2018 and graduated on February 22, 2019. He began his advanced training with a Field Training Officer last week.

The Fairhaven Selectboard held a badge pinning ceremony at its meeting on 2/27.

“On behalf of the entire Fairhaven Police Department, I am happy to welcome Officer Beauregard among our ranks and wish him the best for a lengthy, safe and successful career serving his hometown,” said Fairhaven Police Chief Michael Myers.
