Christmas lights are up and running at homes and businesses all over the region. Taking a ride in the early evening just after sunset is a perfect COVID safe activity, and it will get you into the holiday mood.

spectacular display. In Fairhaven, Mark Robillard has continued his tradition of using hundreds of thousands of lights at his property at 35 Gellette Road (or is that 39…don’t worry, you’ll see it), and the big house on Route 6 near Welcome Street is as fun as ever. Please do NOT stop on Route 6.
The lights at Benoit Square in Fairhaven are on, as are the lights at the Acushnet Fire Station and at Clasky Common Park in New Bedford.
Although many places had to scale back their activities (no singing or sitting on Santa’s lap), the local elves were happy to continue the work of setting up the lights for all to see. So be sure to drive around and discover their work. It’s fun, free, and COVID safe. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to all our faithful readers.
