New Bedford Seaport Chowder Festival, Sun., 10/7, Noon–5 p.m. (Tasting will end at 3:00 PM) on Pier 3 in New Bedford! Taste chowder, soup and quahogs from nearly 20 restaurants and caterers! The event also has live music, children’s activities and the annual YMCA lobster race. Vendors will be serving local beers, specialty cocktails, and specialty coffee.
General Admission: $15 pp; Children 6-12: $5; Under 5 are Free
General admission is at noon and the tasting is until 3 p.m. Veterans with valid IDs are welcome to the early admission time of 11 a.m. with their ticket purchase.
