Causeway Road will partially close

November 10, 2016 by Fairhave Neighborhood News

Causeway Road will not close down completely for water main work to be done next week. Originally, the plan required completely stoppiing traffic for about an hour to install a support beam.

According to an email from Public Works Superintendent Vincent Furtado, the beam will be put in place either late in the day on Monday, 11/13, or in the morning on Tuesday, 11/15.

“Except for a few minutes here and there to move the beam in place, the plan is to keep one lane open at all times and not have the total bridge shut down for an hour or so, as originally planned,” wrote Mr. Furtado.

The water main on the north side of the causeway is being replaced.
