Press Release
The National Night Out Committee is accepting applications for booth space for the Second Annual Fairhaven National Night Out, scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm. This event will take place on the Fairhaven High School/Academy Building lawn on the corner of Route 6 and Main Street (12 Huttleston Ave). There is no rain date for this event.
National Night Out is a nationwide movement to bring communities together, and an opportunity for the community to meet the members of law enforcement who keep us all safe. This free family event is dependent on the generosity and cooperation of local businesses and organizations.
Booth space is free to participants, on a limited basis. The National Night Out Committee uses the following criteria for selecting participants:
• Preference is given to non-profit organizations focusing on community/safety efforts
• Preference is given to any organization that offers a free service/product at their booth space
• Participants must bring their own pop-up tents, tables, chairs, extension cords, etc.
• Participants must arrange for electrical set-up prior to the event, if needed
The National Night Out Committee promotes a family-friendly event that is inclusive for all members of our community. Because this event is free, participating businesses and organizations may give out products and services, but may not charge for anything. The National Night Out Committee reserves all rights to determine what is appropriate for the venue.
To apply, please submit a letter of interest, describing your organization or product, why you think you would be a good fit in this event, and how much space you would need. (Average booth space is 10 by 10 feet). All applications must be received by Friday, July 13, 2018. Email your application to: Anne O’Brien National Night Out Secretary, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. •••
