The Mattapoisett Museum is excited to announce the launch of a new publication, Mattapoisett Then and Now: A Coloring Book on May 14th at 6:00 at 5 Church Street. The students who created the book and their work, will be celebrated in a “live” art exhibit with its artists and writers displaying their work. The coloring book will cost $10 and be available for sale at the event. The funds generated from the sale of this coloring book will go towards developing and delivering educational programming at the Mattapoisett Museum.
One of the missions of the Mattapoisett Museum includes collaboration and partnership with others in order to develop a vibrant place of learning and community activities in Mattapoisett. Last fall and through this spring, the Mattapoisett Museum engaged students from Old Rochester Regional High School to design the art pages and generate the paragraphs to describe them. Students from Old Colony then produced and printed the book. The Mattapoisett Museum gives grateful thanks to all the students created the coloring book with their teachers.
