Follow the lives of six North Koreans for over sixteen years when you read the book, “Nothing to Envy: ordinary lives in North Korea” by Barbara Demick.
This book, selected by the Millicent Library, will be discussed on Mon., 10/16, 10:00 a.m., in the library’s meeting room, 45 Center St., Fairhaven. You will learn about the chaotic period that saw the rise of Kim Jong, illustrating what it means to live under the most repressive totalitarian regime today. The discussion is free, open to the public, with accessibility to the meeting room through the Walnut Street entrance. To borrow the book, contact the Millicent Library, or SAILS, the inter-library web site. To answer your questions please call Norma Markey at 508-993-3745.
