N.Y. Times, Washington Post contributor Richard Louv and author of seven previous books is the author of “Last Child in The Woods:Saving Our Children From Nature Deficent Disorder”and is the selection for March’s discussion group.
The book discusses the increasing divide between young children and nature that can lead to many childhood disorders. The author offers “effective measures to healing the divide. He also said that being in nature “stimulates creativity.”
The book will be discussed at Fairhaven’s Millicent library, 45 Center Street on Thursday, March 17, at 10 a.m.,in the library’s meeting room accessible through the Walnut Street entrance.
