The Fairhave Police Department issued a statement confirming that they were investigating after a man’s body was found in the water near Moby Dick Marina, 2 River Avenue, on Monday, 8/27/18.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., Fairhaven Police responded to a call at the marina, and located the body of an adult man in the water near two boats.
The Massachusetts State Police Crime Prevention and Control (CPAC) Unit has been called to assist with the investigation.
On Wednesday, the Bristol County District Attorney’s office identified the man as Bruce Wickersham, 56, of Dedham, and confirmed it was a suicide. The DA’s office would not elaborate on the method,
