The Boat Massachusetts course is now mandatory for anyone who wishes to operate a motorboat on Massachusetts waterways. The course is available in two formats: a full in-person format that runs approximately 10-12 hours in length, generally over the course of several days, or a fully online education course. All full in-person classes are free of charge. There is an associated fee for the online program. All courses are NASBLA accredited and reciprocal nationwide..
Classes are for adults and youth 12 years of age and older.
• U.S. Coast Auxiliary Building; 80 Middle St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Class ID 5100. April 12–13 (must attend all sessions) 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Marion Police Department; 550 Mill St, Marion, MA 02738. Class ID 5131. April 26–27 (must attend all sessions). 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
