Blessing of the bikes roars through town

May 23, 2018 by Staff Writer

This year’s Blessing of the Bikes had a smaller than usual showing due to the weather. The initial date was changed due to rain, and the rescheduled ride was held under threatening skies. Still, 175 bikes showed up for the annual event which started at Fort Phoenix, went by St. Joseph Church for the blessing, and then went on a ride through the back roads, ending at the Ice House for food and entertainment. For those who missed it because of the rain, you can still buy a t-shirt and support the cause. Just call the school at 508-996-1983, or find them on Facebook.
