The Paskamansett Bird Club’s March meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wed., 3/13, at the Community Hall of Friends Meeting, 739 Horseneck Road, in S. Dartmouth. Dan and Henry Zimberlin will present “Southeastern Massachusetts: A Photographic Journey to the Birds and Other Wildlife.”
Henry Zimberlin is a local resident who has been birding for more than half his life. He loves to post his better bird pictures on Flickr, and also sends many photos to the Buzzards Bay Coalition, especially those from the Acushnet Sawmill Conservation Area. His 2018 photographic highlights include Pileated Woodpecker, Wood Duck, River Otter and baby foxes.
Dan is also an avid birder who has expanded his interest to include all wildlife, including fish, dragonflies, butterflies and moths. Most weekends he can be found photographing and observing wildlife in Bristol county with his father Henry. Dan, along with Mark Mello, Steven Whitebread and Tom Murray, is part of MassMoths, a project to develop a state list for the moths of Massachusetts. Dan lives in Warwick, RI with his wife and daughter.
The meeting is free, open to the public, and accessible.
