June Bike & Brew: Fort to Fort. Join the Fairhaven Livable Streets Committee on Sat., 6/22, from 2 to 4pm as we ride from Fairhaven’s Fort Phoenix to New Bedford’s Fort Taber! We’ll meet near Fort Phoenix’s tennis courts, then ride across the Fairhaven-New Bedford Bridge, south to the New Bedford Harbor Walk, and then down the Rodney French Blvd. beach walk to Fort Taber. On the return ride, we’ll stop at Cisco’s outdoor patio for refreshments before heading back to Fairhaven.
At 14 miles round-trip, it should involve a little over an hour of riding. But it’s fairly flat and we have a route planned out to make the ride as safe & stress-free as possible for riders of all ages & abilities.
Reminders: Riders under 17 must wear a helmet. All riders are responsible for their own bikes. Please bring some water & sunscreen.
