The milder temperatures of the last few days, mostly in the 30s above freezing, are on the way out. The region is bracing for frigid temperatures in the teens and 20s on Thursday and Friday, with wind chill factors below zero. Milder temperatures are expected to return this weekend, and will even get up into the 40s early next week. Areas north and west are also bracing for snow, but this area should see only rain, as the temperatures are expected to rise before the storm gets here.
