The history of the Battle of Saratoga, the Revolutionary War battle whose panorama of strategy and chance that ran from London to Quebec to Philadelphia to New York, will be discussed at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Fort Taber-Fort Rodman Military Museum & Veterans Memorial, 1000C s. Rodney French Blvd, New Bedford.
Col. Kevin J. Weddle (retired), PhD, will lead the talk, which will feature his award-winning book, ““The Compleat Victory: Saratoga and the American Revolution.” He is a professor of military theory and strategy at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, Pa.
The award-winning author is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and spent 29 years as a combat engineer officer.
He is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom.
