The Acushnet Public Library welcomes New York Times Best Selling Author of Finest Hours Michael Tougias for talk on Wed., 5/30 at 6:30 pm. This free event will be held in the Library Community Room at 232 Middle RD, Acushnet, MA 02743.
In this multimedia presentation based on his recently published book, Above & Beyond: JFK and America’s Most Dangerous Cold War Spy Mission, author Michael J. Tougias first chronicles the thirteen harrowing days of the Cuban Missile Crisis and then outlines the steps President Kennedy made to reach a decision on a course of action.
This unique presentation entertains with the dramatic chronicling of the Cuban Missile Crisis (with slides) while providing useful analysis of JFK’s process of tackling major decisions in practical ways that others can learn from and adopt. It’s an especially timely topic today with current tensions with North Korea and Russia.
