True crime writer Maureen Boyle will talk about her 2021 book “The Ghost: The Murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and The Hunt for His Killer,” after the Millicent Library’s annual meeting on Wed., 9/27, at 6:15 p.m., in the library meeting room, 45 Center St., Walnut Street entrance.
Award-winning journalist Maureen Boyle is the author of three true-crime books. Shallow Graves: The Hunt for the New Bedford Highway Serial Killer was published in 2017 and The Ghost: The Murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and the Hunt for His Killer (Black Lyon) was published in June 2021. Child Last Seen: The Search for Patty Desmond (Black Lyon) is set for publication June 2023. She was a long-time reporter for The Standard-Times before moving to The Enterprise of Brockton.
She was named New England Journalist of the Year three times and has been honored for her work covering crime, drug issues and human-interest stories both regionally and nationally. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in criminal justice. She is now the journalism program director at Stonehill College in Easton, MA.
