The Southcoast Artists Index, 16 South Water Street, NB. Wed., 11/12, from 6pm to 7pm Free appetizers. Cash bar available.
We welcome Zarla Ludin, founder of The Spare Studio—a creative reuse and second-hand retail art supplier that collects, redistributes, and sells new, nearly new, and still-usable artists’ materials gathered from artists’ estates and other sources.
The Artists Index Salon Series is designed to inform, inspire, and connect local artists through a series of engaging workshops and conversations. Each session features an expert speaker addressing a key topic—from managing artists’ estates and auctions, to the logistics of shipping art, to exploring tools and resources, and understanding the ins and outs of fine art reproduction. Alongside these presentations, the series provides valuable opportunities for networking, sharing experiences, and building connections across the South Coast’s creative community.
The Salon Series is funded in part by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
