Fairhaven resident Fay Bartling has a display of her paintings on the ends of the Millicent Library books stacks through this month. Fay’s daytime persona is in the medical profession, but she also has a degree from Rhode Island School of Design and has taken lessons at various places, including the Phildelphia College of Art.
Her many awards at art shows include the Cape Cod Art Association, Art on Center and Sippican Arts in Action. Her paintings have been awarded 1st place and Best in Show at the Fairhaven Homecoming Fair.
Fay’s artistic mission statement is “to be enriched by, contribute to and share with others the creation of single and multiple human moments using the visual vocabulary.”
The Millicent Library is at 45 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. There is an elevator on the Walnut Street side; 508-992-5342.
