The 38th annual Apple-Peach Festival in Acushnet saw big crowds and perfect weather this weekend. The festival grounds at the Long Plain Museum were a little smaller this year, as the lot next store was not rented, as in the past. That did not stop the crowds, though, from packing it in. Many vendors ran out of food, including the cobbler booth. Organizers said they sold 80 pans of peach cobbler, apple cobbler and apple-peach cobbler, oh…and peach shortcake, too. By around 2:30 on Sunday, they were out completely.
