Annual NFIA Egg Hunt draws hundreds

April 23, 2025 by Staff Writer

By Beth David, Editor

The annual egg hunt sponsored by the North Fairhaven Improvement Association drew hundreds of young’uns and their adults on 4/19/25. The free activities included hot chocolate, although it got pretty warm after a bit. The NFIA spread and hid more than 2500 plastic eggs, each with a goodie inside. They also hid wooden eggs that could be turned in for prizes.

Everyone got a raffle ticket giving them a chance to win prizes, like easter baskets and gift cards.

The Easter Bunny even showed up for photo opps and hugs.

Miss Fall River Teen, Sydney St. Onge; Miss Old Colony Teen, Madison Cabucio; and Jr. Miss Apple Peach, Willow Niles, also helped, along with the good kids of Boy Scout Troop 52.

Kids were organized by age so the big kids wouldn’t overpower the little kids, each group taking on a different part of the park.

To learn more about the NFIA, which is always in need of volunteers and looking for members, email northfairhavenimprovement267@gmail.com or visit https://northfairhavenimprovementassoc.weebly.com or find them on Facebook.

They meet the third Wednesday of the month. Next meeting is 5/21 at 267 Adams Street in Benoit Square.
