AHA!

The Next AHA Night Themed “City Views” Is Coming up on Thursday, May 11th – Presented by Hallkeen Management and First Citizens AHA! (Art, History, Architecture) provides a free platform for New Bedford’s creative community to showcase their talents collectively; making arts, culture, and creative expression accessible to all. AHA! Night offers a meeting place for community partners on the 2nd Thursday of the month, when artistic expression is everywhere and open to everyone: encouraging fun, provoking-thought and nurturing the soul. Join us downtown to shop in various galleries, relax in downtown restaurants, and participate in all the fun events AHA! Night has to offer!

Free Henna and Crafts at Youth Services, 4:00pm

New Bedford Free Public Library, 613 Pleasant Street. Join us on AHA! nights for a free henna tattoo by Mandy from Wicked Good Henna! There is no registration required and will be available while supplies last. Hope to see you there! This program is supported by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Historic Houses of New Bedford, May 11, 2023,  6:00-7:00pm

New Bedford Art Museum/ ArtWorks, 608 Pleasant Street. Gather at the James Arnold Mansion, 427 County Street. This tour highlights important houses that have not been seen in previous video productions. All of the properties are located in the Old Bedford Village and County Street Historic Districts.

Hip Hop Cypher! 7:00pm

CO+ Creative Center, 137 Union Street The AHA! Cyphers will be happening from April – September at the Co-Creative Center from 7:00 –9:00pm. The Cyphers will feature a local emcee and producer who will be highlight and featured during the cyphers. The featured emcee will improvisationally rhyme over instrumentals in a rap cypher that will also include the emcees from the public. The featured producer will be highlighted with a 30 minute segment of their instrumental that the emcees will rhyme over. The featured emcee will also have a 30 minute performance set at the end of the cypher.
