Acushnet Fire & EMS Department Facebook post, June 20 at 2:57 PM ·
Thursday, 6/20/19: SO THIS HAPPENED! The department responded to the classic “cat stuck in tree” call. We determined that there was a very narrow window of space to place the aerial. Firefighter/Paramedic Tom Farland skillfully placed the ladder and removed Skittles from a height of approximately 30 feet.
While some may find humor in this animal rescue, and we know it can be the punchline of a joke, the feline’s family was very happy. Skittles is a rescue that just recently began being introduced to the outside.
